Congratulations to Yeats County Hockey Club U16 Team who won their first league match of the season, today, Sunday 19th October, against Greenfields U16 Team. The match, played at home, was very competitive, with the Sligo girls going 1-0 down early on. However Yeats County fought hard, won the 50:50 balls, which gave them the platform to attack with positivity, energy and skill, to put the Greenfields defence under pressure. The Sligo girls got the equaliser shortly after, and got their second just before half time. The win was sealed with a third goal in the fourth quarter of the match.
